My stay at the hotel was lovely overall. The rooms were really comfortable, especially with the huge bed and very comfy pillows. The small room was well-equipped and very cozy, leading directly to a terrace with our own reserved table, adding a nice touch to our experience.

6.0/10

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the canal-facing room was impressive, it felt like the servants' quarters with a lumpy bed, cheap pillows, and no room temperature control. The noise levels were over the top, making it hard to relax during my stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room with a canal view was initially appealing but turned out to be disappointing with uncomfortable bedding and lack of basic amenities.
Service

The service was inconsistent. While some staff members were caring and kind, others completely ignored our requests, leaving us feeling neglected.
Location

Despite being centrally located in Bruges, the hotel's peaceful ambiance stands out. Convenient access to Christmas markets and chocolate shops added value to the location.
Dining

The dining experience was exceptional, offering a great choice of dishes in a lovely setting. However, a costly mistake marred an otherwise enjoyable meal.
Facilities

The hotel facilities were above average, but there was room for improvement in terms of room comfort and noise control.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel de Orangerie! The location is simply perfect, right in the center of the world heritage monuments of Bruges. The rooms with modern amenities and a cozy fireplace were great, but there was a slight issue with a faint smell of foul drainage in the room. The service was exceptional, with the staff being super friendly and helpful as if we were long-time friends. The dining experience offered a wide array of delicious dishes and was definitely value for money. The facilities were fantastic, especially the warm fire glowing to come home to after a day of exploring. However, the room was missing a couch which would have been a nice addition.

Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience all around. The rooms had charm and offered a great view, complete with a lovely shower and bathroom. It was a peaceful retreat perfect for enjoying a quiet afternoon glass of wine. While the room was very comfortable and boasted a nice view over the canal, due to the age of the building, the creaking floors could be a minor inconvenience unless you opt for a top floor room or bring some earplugs.
